A walk with a story to unloc.
A self-guided walking tour lets you explore without following a guide’s timetable. Unloc City adds a plot twist: the next destination is something you earn by solving a clue.
Find a UK trailMore noticing. Less following a dot.
At each stop, the place itself holds the answer. You might need to look up, study a shape or notice an architectural detail. Your phone supplies the clue; the interesting part is outside the screen.
You see the start, finish, duration and access information before downloading. The intermediate stops are kept under wraps. After arrival is checked on your device, a puzzle opens. Solve it to collect points, discover a short story and reveal where you are going next.
Make room for the unplanned bit.
There is no live guide to keep up with. Take a break, pause for lunch or leave the adventure and return later in the same browser or app installation. Your saved progress picks up from the current stop.
Self-guided does not mean every route is available at every hour. Play city trails in daylight and follow the current access notes. Venue experiences may have their own opening times, indoor areas or admission requirements.
Download first. Wander with less reliance on signal.
An explicit download stores the essential game content on your device. After it reports Ready offline, the saved trail can run without a successful network connection. Written approach notes remain available between stops.
External walking directions use a separate map service and may need a connection. They are optional. Your location check, answers and progress stay in Unloc City on your device; an external map service has its own privacy terms.
Choose the walk for your day.
Compare the duration, distance, terrain, suggested ages and start and finish points. Check admission and access notes beforehand so you know what to expect on foot.
Whether you want a challenge for a curious family, a lively afternoon date or a fresh perspective on your own home city, explore our nationwide UK catalogue. No player account is needed to begin, and your progress stays securely on your device.
